Patterns

Inspired by this post by a blogger I follow, Don Charisma which shows a ‘pattern’ photo of bird footprints in the sand and refers to another post by Don on pattern I thought I’d share one of my most favourite pattern photos.

This was an unexpected one, taken through the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea on Myrtos beach, Kefalonia at night. When we got home and had a look at this on screen instead of on the tiny camera display on our point and shoot Olympus we felt this shot had given the pebbles below the surface a look of a mosaic. Rippled water effect courtesy of my little boy (then) who mistook pebble skimming for dropping handsful of pebbles into the water, but it worked well.

Nature is a wonderful thing, we just have to take the time to look.

    1. It was just an accidental photo to be fair, I think we were trying to take a shot in the dark (literally) with a poor camera of the moon shining on the water and this was a mis-fire. I love it.. nature is beautiful.
